Chandigarh Administration Relieves IAS Rupesh Kumar For His Deputation In J&K

The Chandigarh (Union Territory) Administration has relieved IAS officer Mr. Rupesh Kumar with effect from 18th October 2024, so that he can take up his new assignment in Jammu and Kashmir. Mr. Rupesh Kumar is a 2019-batch IAS officer.

Officer Kumar, who is visually impaired, took over the charge of additional excise and taxation commissioner-cum-collector (excise) but was shifted on January 24th. Later, in April, he was given the charge of commissioner of excise and taxation. Meanwhile, Ms. Prerna Puri, a 2006-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Chandigarh.
