Chandigarh: 2 IPS Officers Relieved, 4 Given New Postings, RK Singh Now IG Prisons

Home department of Chandigarh administration issued an order on 10 July relieving two officers and assigning additional charges to four others. According to the orders, IPS officer Shruti Arora and Deepak Purohit have been relieved from their early charges. Both are AGMUT cadre officers and while Ms. Arora is of 2018 batch, Mr. Purohit belongs to 2007 batch.

On the other hand, IPS officer RK Singh have been given the charge of IG, Prisons. Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, who is an IPS of Punjab cadre and 2013 batch, has been given the charge of Commandant, IRBn.

Ketan Bansal of AGMUT cadre & 2016 batch has been appointed as in charge of HomeGuards, EOW. And, IPS officer Mridul of AGMUT & 2019 batch has been made in charge of W& CSU.
