Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has announced that farmers who sold paddy at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) will receive the differential amount at the rate of ₹3,100 per quintal before the Holi festival. The decision was taken in a recent Cabinet meeting, reinforcing the state government’s commitment to farmer welfare.
Under the Krishak Unnati Yojana, nearly ₹10,000 crore will be disbursed in a single installment before Holi. During the Kharif Marketing Year 2025-26, the state procured 141.04 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from 25.24 lakh farmers.
Over ₹35,000 Crore to Farmers in Three Years
The Chhattisgarh government has procured up to 21 quintals per acre at ₹3,100 per quintal — one of the highest procurement rates in the country. Over the past two years, more than ₹25,000 crore has already been paid to farmers as the differential amount. With the upcoming ₹10,000 crore payout, the total assistance will reach approximately ₹35,000 crore.
The decision is expected to boost rural liquidity, stimulate markets, and positively impact sectors like tractor and agricultural equipment sales.

₹7.83 Lakh Crore Investment Proposals Under New Industrial Policy
Under the state’s new industrial policy, Chhattisgarh has received investment proposals worth ₹7.83 lakh crore. The government aims to position the state as a major investment destination while ensuring balanced regional development.
Women Empowerment: 2026 Declared ‘Mahtari Gaurav Year’
The government has declared 2026 as ‘Mahtari Gaurav Year’, emphasizing women empowerment. Key initiatives include:
- 70 lakh women receiving ₹1,000 per month under Mahtari Vandan Yojana
- ₹129.46 crore disbursed as easy loans to 42,878 women self-help groups
- ₹237 crore provided to 4.81 lakh women under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana
- Supplementary nutrition ensured for over 19 lakh women
- Establishment of Sakhi One Stop Centers and Women Helpline 181
- Construction of 179 Mahtari Sadans at a cost of ₹52.20 crore
- Proposal to build a Unity Mall in Nava Raipur worth ₹200 crore for marketing women SHG products
Additionally, under the Deendayal Upadhyay Landless Agricultural Labour Welfare Scheme, 5.62 lakh landless laborers are receiving ₹10,000 annually.
Housing, Water, and Infrastructure Development
The government has approved 26 lakh houses under PM Awas initiatives. Over 41 lakh households now have access to clean drinking water, supported by 77 water testing laboratories and 70 group water supply schemes benefiting 3,208 villages.
Major infrastructure projects such as the Jagdalpur–Visakhapatnam and Raipur–Visakhapatnam road corridors are opening new development avenues. Knowledge-based society initiatives are also underway in 32 urban bodies through lighthouse projects.
A Leadership Focused on Inclusive Growth
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, a farmer’s son, has emphasized inclusive governance and grassroots outreach. Through schemes like Krishak Unnati Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, Niyad Nella Nar, and Akhara Nirman Yojana, the government aims to ensure holistic development across all sections of society.
His tenure reflects a focus on farmer welfare, women empowerment, rural infrastructure, industrial growth, and social security, positioning Chhattisgarh on a higher development trajectory.
