Raipur: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh government has successfully launched the CM Rural Bus Service to provide regular bus connectivity to remote, hilly, and Naxal-affected villages. The initiative aims to link villages with main roads and district headquarters, facilitating easier travel for residents.

- Phase 1: 34 buses on 34 routes, connecting around 250 villages
- Phase 2: 24 new buses on 23 additional routes, benefiting nearly 180 more villages
As of January 2026, buses are operating on 57 routes, serving approximately 330 villages. The government plans to expand the fleet to 200 buses by FY 2026-27 to reach even more remote communities.
