Rajnandgaon: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai addressed the All India Sadguru Kabir Sant Conference held at Kabir Math Ashram in Nadiya village, Dongargaon block, Rajnandgaon district, emphasizing the role of spiritual values in guiding society and governance. He announced multiple development projects and financial allocations for the ashram, infrastructure, and community welfare initiatives.
Development Projects Announced at Kabir Math Ashram
CM Sai approved ₹11 lakh for development works at the ashram, including the construction of a permanent dome and annual budget provisions for organizing the Kabir Sant Festival. He also announced the construction of a mini stadium in Nadiya village and a grand entrance gate in Rajnandgaon city in honor of Kabir Saheb.
Highlighting the ashram’s history, CM Sai noted that Sadguru Seva Saheb Ji established the Kabir Math in Nadiya over 202 years ago, and the Halba community saint Mantu Thakur Ji dedicated his property to its service.
Spiritual Guidance and Kabir’s Philosophy
The Chief Minister emphasized the continued influence of Sadguru Kabir in Chhattisgarh, particularly in the Kabirdham district. Recalling his childhood connection with the Kabir Panth in Kunkuri, he highlighted Kabir’s teachings, including the famous couplet: “Nindak Niyare Rakhiye”, urging self-reflection and ethical living.
He stressed that Kabir’s messages provide a moral compass for personal growth and social harmony, which aligns with the government’s approach to development and governance.
Focus on Agriculture and Farmer Welfare
CM Sai highlighted that 80% of Chhattisgarh’s population depends on agriculture. He detailed initiatives such as:
- Efficient paddy procurement, ensuring payments to farmers within 48 hours.
- Krishak Unnati Yojana disbursing over ₹10,000 crore to 25.28 lakh farmers.
- Mahatari Vandan scheme, transferring ₹15,000 crore to 69 lakh mothers and women beneficiaries.
Housing and Infrastructure for Marginalized Communities
Under government priorities, 18 lakh housing units were sanctioned immediately after the cabinet was sworn in. So far, over 8 lakh homes have been completed, including 15,000 units for surrendered Naxal families and 32,000 PM houses for the PVGT community. CM Sai highlighted that development in Bastar and other backward areas is accelerating as Naxalism declines.
Employment and Education Initiatives
CM Sai announced that over 32,000 jobs are being processed in the state, and 5,000 teacher recruitments are underway. He reaffirmed the government’s anti-corruption stance, citing that officials involved in DMF, coal, and PSC scams are in jail. The government has also ensured transparent competitive examinations, enabling opportunities for underprivileged youth to rise to administrative positions.
Cultural and Spiritual Promotion
CM Sai highlighted Chhattisgarh’s spiritual heritage, linking it to Lord Ram’s 14-year stay in the region. Under the Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana, over 42,000 residents have visited Ayodhya and Kashi Vishwanath Dham, while 5,000+ citizens have benefited from the Chief Minister Teerth Darshan Yojana to visit 19 designated pilgrimage sites.
Support from Government Officials and Community Leaders
The event was attended by School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav, who praised Chhattisgarh’s cultural and spiritual values, noting that the state fosters simplicity, sensitivity, and ethics among its people. Other dignitaries present included MP Santosh Pandey, former MP and Mayor Madhusudan Yadav, former MP Pradeep Gandhi, district cooperative bank officials, Panchayat leaders, and spiritual figures.
School Education Minister Yadav also highlighted CM Sai’s deep respect for saints and spiritual leaders, noting that this commitment strengthens positive social guidance and cultural preservation across Chhattisgarh.

The Chief Minister reiterated that governance in Chhattisgarh prioritizes development, social welfare, and preservation of spiritual and cultural heritage. CM Sai emphasized that Kabir’s teachings, ethical governance, and community development go hand-in-hand to create a progressive and morally grounded society.
