Raipur: In a significant step toward promoting sports in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai was formally presented with the official Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) jersey and extended a special invitation to host an Indian Premier League (IPL) match in Raipur. The gesture was part of RCB’s initiative to engage with emerging cricketing destinations and promote the sport at the grassroots level.

The jersey presentation and invitation ceremony were attended by RCB Vice President Mr. Rajesh Menon and Mr. Prabhatej Singh Bhatia, Joint Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The event marked the beginning of efforts to position Raipur as a prominent venue for high-profile cricketing events in India.

CM Vishnu Deo Sai Welcomes IPL Initiative

Receiving the jersey, CM Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his appreciation for RCB’s initiative, stating that hosting international-level sports events in Chhattisgarh will significantly encourage youth participation in sports. He emphasized that such events will help strengthen the state’s sports infrastructure, enhance talent development programs, and place Chhattisgarh firmly on the national sporting map.

The Chief Minister further assured that the state government is committed to providing full support for organizing the IPL match in Raipur and for all initiatives aimed at promoting youth talent and sports excellence in the state.
