Raipur: Chhattisgarh is stepping up its industrial development drive, with the state attracting investment across traditional manufacturing and emerging sectors such as AI, data centres, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals and electronics.
Over the past 18 months, the state has received investment proposals worth more than ₹8 lakh crore, with these projects expected to create over 1.6 lakh employment opportunities.
Easier Processes for Investors
The government has made Ease of Doing Business a key priority. A new single-window system now offers more than 150 services to help investors with approvals and other processes.
An AI-based VANI system has also been introduced for investors. More than 500 administrative reforms have been carried out to simplify procedures.
The government is also expanding industrial infrastructure beyond major centres.
- 23 new industrial areas have been developed.
- 26 new industrial works have been approved in 15 districts.
- A Plastic Park is being developed at Sarora.

Focus on Jobs and Local Youth
Industries Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan has said that employment generation and faster implementation of investment projects remain key priorities.
The government is focusing on skill development, internships, startups, innovation, exports and MSME development to expand opportunities for young people.
Industrial expansion plans are also being prepared for Bastar and Surguja, with a focus on more balanced regional development.
Investment Spans Multiple Sectors
Chhattisgarh is attracting investment beyond traditional industries. Key areas include textiles, garments, data centres, IT, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, electrical and electronics manufacturing.
The government is also offering sector-specific incentives to encourage investment in emerging industries.
Nava Raipur Textile Park
The Nava Raipur Textile Park is being developed across around 81 acres to strengthen the state’s textile and apparel ecosystem.
The park will have plots ranging from 2,758 sq m to 38,180 sq m for textile, garment, apparel, technical textile and related industries.
Tamil Nadu-based Swift Textiles Private Limited is investing ₹235 crore in a garment manufacturing unit at the park. The project is expected to generate around 4,650 jobs.
Towards Vision 2047
Chhattisgarh’s industrial strategy combines investment promotion, infrastructure development, skill creation and new-age technology.
With investment proposals exceeding ₹8 lakh crore and projects across multiple sectors, the state is seeking to build a more diversified economy and create greater opportunities for its youth.
