Raipur/Osaka: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Mr Vishnu Deo Sai, currently on an official visit to Japan, presented the state’s emerging investment potential at the Osaka Investor Connect – a high-profile international business event aimed at strengthening India-Japan trade relations.
Highlighting the state’s strategic advantages, the Chief Minister pitched Chhattisgarh as an ideal destination for foreign investment, backed by natural resource abundance, proactive governance, and industry-ready policies.
Major Investment Announced: $11.45 Million for Food Processing Unit
In a significant development, CM Sai announced an investment proposal worth $11.45 million (₹100 crore) from Sartaj Foods, Osaka, for setting up a food processing unit in Chhattisgarh.
The project is expected to–
- Boost the agri-based economy of Chhattisgarh
- Generate large-scale employment
- Create new market linkages for local farmers
- Promote value-added agriculture and exports
Focus on Skilling and Technology: Meeting with Morabu Hanshin
In the Business-to-Government (B2G) discussions, CM Sai also met with Mr. Naoyuki Shimada, President of Morabu Hanshin, a reputed Japanese firm specializing in skilled engineering services, system development, and workforce solutions.
