Khanij 2.0 and Digital Integration of Mineral Management
The Khanij 2.0 platform has brought a transformative approach to mineral governance in Chhattisgarh. By streamlining operations, improving monitoring, and ensuring transparent processes, the platform has become central to the state’s mineral management strategy.
For the upcoming financial year, the government plans to integrate minor minerals into the Khanij 2.0 platform, creating a fully digital and unified mineral management system. This initiative aims to make the entire mining ecosystem more accountable, efficient, and transparent.
Enhanced Monitoring and Technology-Driven Oversight
To strengthen mineral transport oversight, the government will expand the use of:
- Vessel Tracking System (VTS)
- iCheck Gates for real-time monitoring
- Drone-based surveillance
These measures are designed to improve accountability, reduce leakages, and enhance the overall governance of mineral resources in the state.
Sustainable Growth and Economic Impact
The Chhattisgarh government’s strategic focus on transparency, efficiency, and accountability in mineral resource management has not only boosted revenue but also strengthened the state’s economic foundation. The sustained increase in mineral revenue ensures that adequate resources are available for development projects, infrastructure growth, and socio-economic initiatives across the state.
Looking Ahead
With continued investment in technology, digital monitoring, and optimized resource management, Chhattisgarh is set to maintain its growth trajectory in the mineral sector. The integration of minor minerals and advanced surveillance systems will further cement the state’s position as a model for transparent and technology-driven mineral governance in India.
