The first installment of ₹202.33 crore was released by the Central Government on March 30, 2026, just before the end of the financial year. Demonstrating exceptional efficiency, the department transferred the funds to various urban local bodies within 24 hours.

Due to the swift submission of the Grant Transfer Certificates (GTC), the state automatically became eligible for the second installment, which was also released immediately, bringing the total disbursed amount to ₹404.66 crore.

Officials credited the success to continuous coordination between the state and central government, especially the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs and the Ministry of Finance, which ensured a smooth and uninterrupted process.
