Gandhinagar: The State-level SWAGAT (State Wide Attention on Grievances by Application of Technology) Online Public Grievance Redressal Program for the month of July will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
The monthly initiative, held on the fourth Thursday of every month, serves as a direct communication platform between the public and the highest levels of state administration. It allows citizens to voice their grievances and seek resolution from relevant departments in real-time.
Citizen-Centric Governance in Action
Launched in 2003 and inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the SWAGAT program reflects a commitment to transparent, accountable, and responsive governance. It utilizes technology to facilitate quick and effective resolution of issues affecting citizens across Gujarat.
In keeping with the established practice, citizens and applicants will be able to submit their representations in person at the Chief Minister’s Public Relations Unit, located in Swarnim Sankul-2, Gandhinagar, between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM on Thursday.
The program enables real-time tracking and intervention by the Chief Minister, who personally reviews the complaints, interacts with the concerned officials, and ensures appropriate follow-up actions.
Strengthening Public Trust
SWAGAT has been widely appreciated as a pioneering e-governance model, having received recognition from international institutions, including the United Nations. It continues to play a crucial role in strengthening public trust, bridging the gap between citizens and the government, and fostering a culture of accountability within state departments.
