Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Monday reviewed the state’s preparedness for heavy rains and Anant Chaturdashi Ganesh idol immersion arrangements through video conferencing from the State Situation Room at Vallabh Bhawan, Bhopal. He interacted directly with district collectors and police officials of major cities including Ujjain, Indore, Jabalpur, Ratlam, Gwalior, and Bhopal, and also monitored a live demonstration of the arrangements.
CM Orders Round-the-Clock Vigilance
CM Yadav instructed all officials to remain on alert mode and ensure that no untoward incident occurs during the immersion process. He directed collectors and police officers to keep their teams fully active, even late into the night, to manage both rain-related challenges and immersion events smoothly.
Relief and Rescue on Priority
Emphasizing citizen safety, the CM said additional precautions must be taken in case of heavy rainfall. People stranded in flood-affected areas should be shifted to safe places without delay. He directed that disaster relief teams must be prepared for immediate rescue and extend every possible help to affected citizens.
Call for Sensitivity in Crisis Management
Highlighting the role of governance in crisis, Dr. Yadav told officials that relief efforts should be carried out with sensitivity and humanity. He stressed that it is the responsibility of the administration to ensure that every needy citizen receives timely assistance during such emergencies.
Top Brass Present in Review Meeting
The high-level review meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Shiv Shekhar Shukla, DGP Kailash Makwana, ADG Civil Defence Pragya Srivastava, ADG Intelligence A. Sai Manohar, Secretary & Commissioner of Public Relations Dr. Sudam Khade, Additional Secretary to CM Alok Singh, along with several senior officials.
