Education Beyond Degrees
CM Dhami stressed that education is not just about obtaining degrees but about giving direction to life and building self-reliance. Under this vision, higher education and skill development centers are being set up across all 13 districts of Uttarakhand. These centers will help youth acquire not only academic knowledge but also employable skills.
Towards Self-Reliant India
Dhami said when universities and skill development centers work together, Uttarakhand’s youth will not remain job seekers but become job providers. This aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. He also announced the decision to establish a major center of Uttarakhand Open University in Dehradun, which will focus on research, innovation, and digital learning.
Support for Relief Efforts
On the occasion, Uttarakhand Open University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Naveen Chandra Lohani shared details of the university’s activities and presented a cheque of ₹1.49 lakh towards the CM Relief Fund.
