CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Conducts Ground Inspection in Disaster-Hit Areas of Haridwar, Assures Swift Relief Efforts

CM Dhami Directs Immediate Action on Relief, Evacuation & Compensation. Visits Flood-Affected Laksar Region, Interacts with Affected Families.

Haridwar: In response to the ongoing heavy rains and natural calamities in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday visited the disaster-hit Laksar area of Haridwar district. Braving challenging terrain and flooded conditions, the CM conducted a ground inspection via tractor, reaching submerged rural areas to meet the affected residents directly.

CM Directs Immediate Relief and Rehabilitation Measures

Chief Minister Dhami instructed district administration and disaster management officers to accelerate relief and rehabilitation work. He emphasized that the safety, food, shelter, and healthcare needs of every affected citizen must be met on priority.

“The state government stands with every affected citizen in this hour of crisis. Rescue and relief operations will be given priority and all possible assistance will be provided to the affected families,” he affirmed.

He also warned of strict action against any negligence in the relief efforts.

On-Site Assessment of Damage and Instructions Issued

During his inspection, CM Dhami reviewed

  • Severe waterlogging
  • Collapsed bridges and roads
  • Houses submerged or surrounded by floodwaters

He issued the following directives

  • Ensure proper relief camps with food, water, medicines, and sanitation.
  • Evacuate families at risk without delay.
  • Fast-track compensation process by assessing crop and property damage promptly.
  • Set up mobile health camps to address urgent medical needs.

Leaders and Officials Accompany CM During Inspection

The Chief Minister was accompanied by MLA Pradeep Batra, the District Magistrate, Senior Superintendent of Police, and other senior officials. Local residents also gathered to share their concerns directly with the CM.
