CM Yogi Inspects Gorakhpur-Pipraich Four-Lane Highway, Directs Timely Completion and High-Quality Construction

Chief Minister reviews Khajanchi Chauraha Flyover and Jungle Kodia-Jagdishpur Ring Road, emphasizes speed and quality to ensure projects benefit public on schedule

Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted an on-site inspection of the Gorakhpur-Pipraich four-lane highway and instructed officials to accelerate construction while maintaining high-quality standards to ensure the road is opened to the public within the scheduled timeline.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of the Khajanchi Chauraha Flyover and the Jungle Kodia-Jagdishpur Ring Road, providing necessary directions to officials for timely completion.

Detailed Inspection of Four-Lane Highway

As part of his development review, CM Yogi visited the section near Bharati School Mor on the Gorakhpur-Pipraich route. He examined the project layout, drawings, and ongoing work progress. The 19.485 km long four-lane highway is being constructed at a cost of ₹942.44 crore. The project, initiated by the Public Works Department, Construction Block Three on February 11, 2025, is targeted for completion by August 31, 2026.

CM Yogi emphasized that quality should not be compromised during construction. He also instructed officials to check water-leveling on the road to prevent waterlogging after completion.

Ring Road Construction Under Scrutiny

While inspecting the Gorakhpur-Pipraich four-lane highway, the Chief Minister also reviewed the Jungle Kodia-Jagdishpur Ring Road passing nearby. He directed officials to expedite construction and ensure its completion by September 2026. CM Yogi further instructed the authorities to verify the width of the Bishunpur underpass, ensuring it is adequate for public convenience.

Khajanchi Chauraha Flyover Nears Completion

CM Yogi also visited the Khajanchi Chauraha Flyover, being constructed at a cost of ₹96.50 crore, which is reported to be over 99% complete. After reviewing the work and construction drawings, the Chief Minister directed officials to complete the remaining work within the next three days to open the flyover for public use promptly.

Officials Present

During the inspection, several key officials accompanied the Chief Minister, including Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, MLA Mahendrapal Singh, Vipin Singh, MLC and BJP State Vice President Dr. Dharmendra Singh, and District President Janardan Tiwari.

The inspection highlights the Uttar Pradesh government’s commitment to speedy infrastructure development, quality construction, and improved connectivity for the residents of Gorakhpur and surrounding areas.
