Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai addressed the concerns of differently-abled citizens with sensitivity and prompt action during a public hearing (Jan Darshan) held at the Chief Minister’s residence office today. As part of the initiative, the government provided battery-operated tricycles, wheelchairs, and hearing aids to those in need, significantly improving their mobility and quality of life.

Battery Tricycles and Wheelchairs Improve Daily Lives

During the public hearing, CM Sai presented a battery-operated tricycle to Bharat Sahu from Arang, who expressed his gratitude, saying that he would no longer have to depend on others for commuting. Previously, he could only go out when someone accompanied him, causing significant inconvenience. He said that the tricycle will make his daily life much easier.

Similarly, Jeevan Das Manikpuri from Khamtarai, Raipur, who has had polio-affected legs since childhood, was provided a battery tricycle. Mr. Das thanked the Chief Minister for the immediate resolution of his problem, stating that the assistance would simplify his daily routine.

In addition, Chandu Yadav from Mowa, Raipur, received a tricycle, and Suman Sahu was provided a wheelchair. The beneficiaries expressed joy and gratitude upon receiving the aid, highlighting the positive impact of CM Sai’s initiative.

Hearing Aids Restore Independence

The Chief Minister also distributed hearing aids to Raipur residents Sagar Nayak and Umesh Patel. Sagar Nayak explained that his hearing ability had deteriorated completely over the past few months, and due to financial constraints, he could not afford a hearing aid. Upon hearing his concern, CM Sai immediately arranged for a hearing aid. Umesh Patel, another beneficiary, expressed gratitude, stating that he could hear again and praised the Chief Minister’s sensitivity and responsiveness.

Public Appreciation for CM’s Initiative

The Jan Darshan program demonstrated the Chhattisgarh government’s commitment to supporting differently-abled citizens through timely and practical assistance. The direct interaction of the Chief Minister with beneficiaries ensured that urgent needs were addressed promptly, creating a sense of empowerment and independence among the differently-abled community.

This initiative reinforces CM Vishnu Deo Sai’s focus on inclusive governance, ensuring that people with disabilities have access to mobility aids and assistive devices, improving their overall quality of life and social participation.
