Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday conducted a comprehensive video review of ongoing and proposed National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) projects in Uttar Pradesh, stressing timely completion, high-quality execution, and transparency in all works.

Strong Coordination Between NHAI and District Administration

During the review, CM Yogi instructed district officials and NHAI authorities to maintain continuous and effective coordination to ensure smooth project implementation. District Magistrates have been directed to conduct weekly reviews of road projects in their respective areas. Any unresolved issues are to be escalated to the Chief Secretary during the Monday review meeting for prompt resolution. Additionally, the Chief Secretary will personally conduct fortnightly reviews to accelerate decision-making and avoid delays.

Focus on Land Acquisition Transparency

On the matter of land acquisition, the Chief Minister issued clear directions for direct communication with farmers. He emphasized that no middlemen should be involved, ensuring transparency and safeguarding farmers’ rights.

Balancing Infrastructure Development and Environmental Protection

CM Yogi highlighted that infrastructure development is critical for Uttar Pradesh’s economic growth, industrial expansion, and public convenience. At the same time, he reiterated that environmental protection remains a priority. The state has set a target of planting 35 crore saplings this year. Trees are to be felled only when absolutely unavoidable, and in such cases, compensatory plantations must exceed the number of trees cut to maintain ecological balance.

High Standards for Project Execution

The Chief Minister stressed that all road projects must be executed with the highest quality, transparency, and within stipulated timelines. Strengthened road connectivity, he noted, is vital for boosting the state’s development, supporting industrial growth, and providing convenience to citizens.

Economic and Developmental Impact

Highlighting the broader significance, CM Yogi said well-planned and timely road infrastructure projects would provide fresh momentum to Uttar Pradesh’s overall development, linking economic growth, industrial development, and public service delivery.
