New Delhi: Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), one of India’s leading multi-modal logistics providers, has appointed Harbrinder Singh Bajwa (DIN: 11506675) as Director (Domestic Division) on additional charge, effective 1 March 2026. The appointment was formalized in a Board of Directors meeting held on 6 March 2026, following directives from the Ministry of Railways.
Strengthening Domestic Freight Operations
Bajwa assumes responsibility for CONCOR’s domestic operations while continuing his role as Executive Director (Freight Marketing) at the Ministry of Railways. In his dual role, he will oversee the Indian Railways’ parcel business, freight terminals, and private sector wagon investments, driving operational efficiency and strategic growth across domestic freight services.
Profile of Harbrinder Singh Bajwa
Bajwa is a 1996 batch officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. With over three decades of experience in operations, commercial management, and policy-making, his key achievements include:
- Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Division, East Coast Railway – India’s highest freight-handling division.
- Executive Director (Coal) – Coordinated coal movement with Ministries of Power, Coal, and Shipping.
- Ministry of Food & Public Distribution – Managed nationwide foodgrain procurement and transportation.
- Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) Logistics during COVID-19 – Ensured timely delivery across India.
- Served on multiple inter-governmental committees on coal, power, and logistics policy, reflecting strategic and operational expertise.
