New Delhi: Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has announced that Mr. Harbrinder Singh Bajwa has assumed additional charge as Director (Domestic Division) on its Board with effect from March 1, 2026 (Forenoon).
The appointment follows an order issued by the Ministry of Railways dated February 20, 2026. The additional responsibility has been entrusted to him pending approval of the Competent Authority.

- National Stock Exchange of India Limited
through official filings regarding the development.
As a Government Company, directors at CONCOR are appointed by the President of India through the Ministry of Railways.

Regulatory Compliance and Declaration
The company confirmed that Mr. Bajwa (DIN: 11506675):
- Has not been debarred from holding the office of director by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) or any other authority.
- Does not hold any shares in CONCOR.
The necessary procedures under the Companies Act, 2013 and SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 are being completed. Required disclosures will be submitted within prescribed timelines.

Mr. Harbrinder Singh Bajwa is a 1996-batch Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer with nearly three decades of administrative and operational experience.

- Bachelor of Engineering, Punjab Engineering College (1995)
Current Role
He is presently serving as Executive Director (Freight Marketing) at the Railway Board under the Ministry of Railways, where he oversees:
- The entire parcel business of Indian Railways
- Freight terminal development policies
- Private wagon investment frameworks
Key Leadership Roles and National Logistics Experience
Over his distinguished career, Mr. Bajwa has held several critical positions:
- Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Division under East Coast Railway — recognized as the highest freight-handling division of Indian Railways.
- Executive Director (Coal) — coordinated with the Ministries of Power, Coal, and Shipping to ensure uninterrupted coal supply for power generation.
- Played a key role in policymaking related to foodgrain procurement and transportation while serving in the Ministry of Food & Public Distribution.
- Instrumental in managing the movement of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) across Indian Railways during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Strengthening CONCOR’s Domestic Logistics Division
With his extensive background in freight operations, coal logistics, inter-ministerial coordination, and national supply chain management, Mr. Bajwa’s additional charge is expected to further strengthen CONCOR’s domestic logistics operations.
His experience in handling high-volume freight corridors and strategic policy execution aligns with CONCOR’s focus on expanding containerized cargo movement and enhancing operational efficiency across India.
