New Delhi: Container Corporation of India (CONCOR), the state-owned logistics and rail transportation company, announced its financial results for the September quarter (Q2 FY27), reporting a subdued performance. The company’s net profit declined 6.8% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹353 crore, compared with ₹379 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Revenue from operations recorded marginal growth of 1% to ₹2,379 crore during the quarter, against ₹2,355 crore in the year-ago period. The company’s earnings performance also remained under pressure, with EBITDA declining and operating margins contracting.

Alongside the quarterly results, CONCOR’s Board of Directors declared a second interim dividend of ₹1.90 per equity share for FY 2026-27.

CONCOR Q2 FY27 Financial Results: Key Highlights

CONCOR reported the following financial performance for the quarter ended September 2026:

  • Net Profit: ₹353 crore, down 6.8% YoY from ₹379 crore.
  • Revenue from Operations: ₹2,379 crore, up 1% YoY from ₹2,355 crore.
  • EBITDA: ₹550 crore, down 4.5% from ₹576 crore.
  • EBITDA Margin: 23%, compared with 25% in the corresponding quarter last year.

The decline in net profit and EBITDA indicates pressure on the company’s profitability despite a marginal increase in revenue.

CONCOR EBITDA Falls 4.5%, Margins Contract to 23%

CONCOR’s operating performance remained under pressure during Q2 FY27. The company’s EBITDA declined 4.5% year-on-year to ₹550 crore from ₹576 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

The EBITDA margin also contracted to 23% from 25% a year earlier, indicating a decline of 2 percentage points.

While revenue from operations increased marginally, the decline in EBITDA and operating margins reflects the challenges faced by the company in improving its profitability amid subdued volume growth.

CONCOR Declares Second Interim Dividend of ₹1.90 Per Share

Along with announcing its Q2 FY27 financial results, CONCOR’s Board of Directors declared a second interim dividend of 38%, translating into ₹1.90 per equity share.

The dividend has been declared on equity shares with a face value of ₹5 each. The total dividend payout will amount to approximately ₹144.71 crore.

The important dividend details are as follows:

  • Dividend Amount: ₹1.90 per equity share.
  • Dividend Percentage: 38%.
  • Face Value: ₹5 per equity share.
  • Record Date: November 11, 2026.
  • Payment Date: On or after November 20, 2026.
  • Total Dividend Payout: ₹144.71 crore.

The company stated that the dividend will be paid or dispatched within 30 days of its declaration.

CONCOR Q2 FY27 Volume Growth Remains Subdued at 0.5%

The company’s quarterly financial performance comes amid relatively weak growth in container volumes. CONCOR handled a total of 14.48 lakh twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) during Q2 FY27, compared with 14.4 lakh TEUs in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

This represents year-on-year volume growth of approximately 0.53%.

The segment-wise volume performance was as follows:

  • Total Volumes: Increased 0.53% year-on-year to 14.48 lakh TEUs.
  • EXIM Volumes: Declined 0.1% during the quarter.
  • Domestic Volumes: Increased 2.43% year-on-year.

The marginal increase in overall volumes highlights the relatively slow growth in the company’s container transportation business during the September quarter.

CONCOR H1 FY27 Volume Growth at 4.5%, Below Full-Year Guidance

For the first half of FY27, CONCOR recorded total volume growth of 4.5%. However, this remained significantly below the company’s full-year growth guidance of 18%.

The segment-wise performance compared with the FY27 targets is outlined below:

  • Total Volumes: H1 growth stood at 4.5%, against the full-year guidance of 18%.
  • EXIM Volumes: Increased 4.6%, compared with the full-year target of 15%.
  • Domestic Volumes: Grew 4.2%, against the full-year target of 25%.

The gap between the first-half performance and annual targets indicates that CONCOR will need stronger volume growth during the second half of FY27 to achieve its guidance.

CONCOR Had Earlier Raised FY27 Volume Growth Guidance to 18%

Earlier, CONCOR Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Swarup had revised the company’s FY27 volume growth guidance upwards during an interaction with CNBC-TV18 on August 1.

The company had increased its total volume growth guidance to 18% from the earlier estimate of 9.5%.

The segment-wise guidance was also revised:

  • Total Volume Growth: Increased to 18% from 9.5%.
  • EXIM Volume Growth: Raised to 15% from 8%.
  • Domestic Volume Growth: Increased to 25% from 15%.

However, with first-half total volume growth standing at just 4.5%, the company will need a significant improvement in its business activity during the remaining months of FY27 to meet these targets.

CONCOR Share Price

Ahead of the earnings announcement, CONCOR shares closed at ₹418.95 on the BSE on Tuesday. The stock gained 1.07%, equivalent to ₹4.45, during the trading session.

The market performance came ahead of the company’s announcement of its Q2 FY27 financial results.
