New Delhi: In a significant step toward promoting sustainable development and renewable energy, REC Limited has committed ₹24 lakh under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative for the installation of solar power systems in Goa. The initiative will enable the generation of 60 kilowatts (KW) of clean, renewable energy and benefit communities across 11 identified locations in both North and South Goa.
MoA Signed with Goa CSR Authority for Project Implementation
A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) formalizing this collaboration was signed on June 23, 2025, between Mr Vijay B. Saxena, Joint CEO of the Goa CSR Authority, and Mr Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director (CSR) at REC Foundation.
The Goa CSR Authority will act as the implementing agency, overseeing the deployment and integration of solar energy systems at community-centric locations.

The initiative is part of REC’s broader commitment to green energy solutions and community empowerment through sustainable infrastructure. By providing decentralized, renewable energy sources at the grassroots level, REC aims to not only reduce carbon emissions but also enhance energy access in underserved areas.
Speaking on the initiative, REC officials reiterated the company’s mission to contribute to India’s clean energy goals while delivering long-term social impact through its CSR programs.
