Senior IPS officer Daljit Singh Chaudhary, a 1990-batch officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been granted the Apex Pay Scale, which is Level 17 in the Pay Matrix. He is currently serving as the Director General of the Border Security Force. An order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training on January 8, 2025, stated that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the Ministry of Home Affairs’ proposal to grant him this pay scale with immediate effect. Before this, Mr. Chaudhary was serving as the Director General of the Sashatra Seema Bal while also handling the additional charge of Director General of the Border Security Force.
