New Delhi: In a significant move to strengthen its board, Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCI) has appointed Krishna Das as an Additional Director (Non-Executive – Independent). The appointment, approved by a board resolution dated 2 March 2026, is subject to shareholder approval at the company’s next General Meeting.

The appointment of Krishna Das follows the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. She will serve as an Additional Director until the next General Meeting, which is expected within three months from the board’s approval. At this meeting, shareholders will vote to approve her regular appointment as an Independent Non-Executive Director for a three-year term, starting from the effective date of her appointment.
Das will officially assume her role after completing statutory requirements under the Companies Act, 2013, or obtaining an active Director Identification Number, whichever is later.

The company clarified that she has no relationship with any current DCI Director or officer and does not hold any shares in the company.
