The appointment was approved by the company’s Board of Directors on March 16, 2026, and will be effective subject to shareholder approval at the next General Meeting.

Devendra Kumar Pathak brings decades of distinguished experience from his Indian Police Service (IPS) career. He joined the IPS in 1979 under the Assam-Meghalaya cadre and held several high-profile positions, including:
- Superintendent of Police in four districts across Assam and Meghalaya
- Command of a Police Range in insurgency-prone areas for four consecutive years
- Chief Vigilance Officer at Oil India Limited, a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, from July 1997 to July 2003, with an extended term of one year
Pathak also contributed significantly to national security initiatives, including:
- Serving as Inspector General in Srinagar, combating militancy while maintaining human rights standards
- Raising the CRPF Anti-LWE Force “CoBRA” (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action)
- Handling departmental inquiries in multiple capacities such as Inquiry Officer, Presenting Officer, Disciplinary Authority, and Appellate Authority
His extensive experience in law enforcement and public sector vigilance strengthens the board’s governance and oversight capabilities.
