Deepa Chawala, a 1998-batch Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer and the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), has been assigned additional responsibility as CVO of Indian Telephone Industries Limited (ITI), Bengaluru.
As per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on November 18, 2024, the arrangement will last for one year or until a regular CVO is appointed for ITI, or further orders are issued, whichever comes first. This decision has received approval from the competent authority.
