East Delhi, Delhi: To mark the completion of one year in office, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta of Delhi launched a weekly outreach program, engaging directly with party workers and citizens to showcase the government’s achievements. BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva and MP Manoj Tiwari also participated in the event, praising the administration’s initiatives.
The CM described the first year as a transformative period for Delhi and assured that the next four years would bring further improvement across all sectors.
Key Achievements in the First Year
During her address, CM Rekha Gupta highlighted several major initiatives and accomplishments of the government:
- 4,000 electric buses introduced to improve public transport
- Reorganization of the Yamuna Development Board with ₹700 crore funding
- 37 new Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) under development
- 70 Atal Canteens offering meals at ₹5 each
- Implementation of Single Window Permission System for festival activities
In addition, significant work has been done in healthcare, education, and infrastructure, including high-tech labs and digital tools in schools to improve learning outcomes.
Public Welfare and Health Initiatives
The CM highlighted the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which provides free medical treatment up to ₹10 lakh. Citizens have also benefited from urban infrastructure projects, including metro station renaming, road widening, and better urban facilities.
MP Manoj Tiwari expressed appreciation for the government, noting that it is actively addressing small and large public concerns. The Wazirabad metro station has been renamed Jagatpur Wazirabad, and roads such as Kavad Road and Sonia Vihar Road have been widened for smoother traffic.
Party Leaders Applaud Governance
BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva stated that the government is visible among the people and committed to improving Delhi responsibly. He emphasized that the administration will seek public mandate after five years based on performance.
Other dignitaries present included state general secretary Vishnu Mittal, district presidents UK Chaudhary and Naveen Master Vinod, ministers Kapil Mishra, MLAs Mohan Singh Bisht, Ajay Mahawar, Jitendra Mahajan, Suryaprakash Khatri, and Mayor Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh.

CM Rekha Gupta reiterated that Delhi citizens can expect further development, improved infrastructure, and enhanced public services over the next four years, continuing the momentum of the government’s first year.
