New Delhi: The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) has invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible private sector entities for the development of Bulk Cement Handling Terminals on either fully or partially DFCCIL/Railway land. This strategic initiative aims to boost private participation in the creation of modern, technologically advanced terminals that utilize the high-capacity and high-speed connectivity offered by India’s Dedicated Freight Corridors (DFCs).

Objective: Promoting Efficient Cement Transport by Rail

The project is designed to enhance the rail modal share of cement transportation and facilitate efficient, large-scale movement of bulk cement across India. By leveraging the DFC network, the terminals are expected to reduce reliance on road transport, cut logistics costs, and improve overall operational efficiency for cement manufacturers and distributors.
