As part of the annual review process, DIG Jogulamba Zone, Shri L.S. Chauhan, IPS, carried out a comprehensive inspection of police establishments across Jogulamba Gadwal district on Saturday. He was accompanied by District Superintendent of Police Shri T. Srinivas Rao, IPS.
DIG Chauhan visited the Alampur Circle Office, Alampur and Gadwal Rural Police Stations, and the District Police Headquarters. During his inspection, he meticulously reviewed station records, inspected premises, and assessed the operational readiness of police personnel. He examined section-wise files at the District Police Headquarters, underlining the importance of effective documentation and smooth administration.
At the Alampur Circle Office in Kodandapur, the DIG scrutinised the Crime Digest, Circle Information Book, Petition Register, and Government Property Register. He directed Circle Inspector Ravi Babu to ensure swift police response to Dial 100 calls and strengthen 24/7 patrolling by Blue Colts and patrol vehicles. He also emphasised regular inspections of police stations and closer monitoring of staff performance.
At Alampur and Gadwal Rural Police Stations, DIG Chauhan inspected key areas, including the reception, tech team sections, vehicle parking, station writer desk, men’s restrooms, lockup facilities, and the SHO’s office. He reviewed crucial records such as the General Diary, Beat Duty Books, Duty Roster, Village Roster, Sentry Relief Book, and the Suspect Check Register.
During his interaction with the police staff, DIG Chauhan stressed the values of accountability, discipline, and swift public response. He encouraged all personnel to adopt the 5S system (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain) to ensure better station upkeep and efficiency. Officers were urged to report both personal and professional challenges without hesitation for timely resolution. He also instructed intensified surveillance on rowdy elements, suspects, and repeat offenders.
Upon reaching the District Police Headquarters, DIG Chauhan was given a ceremonial guard of honour. He conducted inspections across various key departments, including SB, DCRB, Sections A & B, the Headquarters Platoon, MT Section, Home Guards, Bell of Arms (Weapons Register), and the Dog Squad. SP Srinivas Rao briefed him on the operational status of each department.
DIG Chauhan directed prompt handling of service petitions and strict compliance with instructions from senior officers. He expressed satisfaction with the overall law and order management under the SP’s leadership.
In a show of commitment to environmental sustainability, DIG Chauhan, along with SP Srinivas Rao, planted saplings at multiple locations, including the District Police Headquarters, Alampur Circle Office, and both Alampur and Gadwal Rural Police Stations. This initiative was part of the Telangana Haritha Haram program. He urged all police staff to actively participate in plantation drives and contribute to ecological conservation.
Among the attendees were DSP Y. Mogulaiah, Armed Reserve DSP Narendra Rao, District Police AO Satish Kumar, SB Inspector Nageshwar Reddy, Circle Inspectors Ravi Babu (Alampur), Srinivas (Gadwal), Tata Babu (Shantinagar), SHOs, SI Lohith Reddy, and other district police personnel.
