The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), in collaboration with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), has launched a priority frisking system across all Metro stations to ease travel for certain special categories of passengers. This initiative will benefit Divyangjans, pregnant women, women with newborns, senior citizens, and individuals with injuries by providing them with quicker and more comfortable access through security checks.

The move is part of DMRC’s ongoing efforts to ensure a seamless, inclusive, and dignified commuting experience. By implementing this system, DMRC has once again reaffirmed its commitment to building a Metro network that is both empathetic and accessible.
To ensure proper implementation, DMRC and CISF have issued detailed guidelines to their security personnel. In cases of doubt regarding eligibility, security staff may ask passengers to present relevant documents verifying their status.
DMRC has consistently prioritised convenience for all passengers, offering reserved seating for Divyangjans and senior citizens, tactile paths for the visually impaired, wheelchairs, and other support services across its premises. With the introduction of priority frisking, DMRC has taken another step forward in reinforcing its social responsibility, setting a benchmark for public transport systems across India.
