New Delhi/Bhopal: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) to implement a cutting-edge Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system for the upcoming Bhopal and Indore Metro projects. The agreement positions DMRC as the technical and operational partner, leveraging its extensive experience in advanced metro fare management technologies across India and abroad.

Advanced Fare Collection for Seamless Travel

Under the MoU, DMRC will be responsible for the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of the AFC system for both metro networks. The system will support multiple payment options, including smart cards, QR-based ticketing, and other future-ready digital payment solutions. The introduction of this modern AFC infrastructure is expected to enhance passenger convenience, streamline fare collection, and improve revenue management for the Bhopal and Indore Metro projects.
