DMRC Wins ICI Award 2025 for Outstanding Prestressed Concrete Structure on Maujpur–Majlis Park Corridor

New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has been selected for the esteemed ICI Awards 2025, presented by the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI), Chennai. The recognition has been granted under the category of “Outstanding Prestressed Concrete Structure in the Country Award” for the Maujpur–Majlis Park corridor, a vital section of Delhi Metro’s ongoing Phase-IV expansion project.

Award Ceremony to Be Held in Hyderabad in December 2025

The prestigious award will be formally conferred upon DMRC during the quinquennial ACECON conference, scheduled to take place in December 2025 in Hyderabad. The honor underscores DMRC’s continued commitment to engineering excellence, innovative construction practices, and sustainable urban infrastructure development.

India’s First Circular Ring Metro Line

The Maujpur–Majlis Park corridor is a key part of Delhi Metro’s Phase-IV network and an extension of the existing Pink Line. Once completed, this section will establish India’s first-ever circular ring metro line, marking a major milestone in the evolution of Delhi’s urban transport system.

The corridor will not only enhance last-mile connectivity but also significantly reduce travel time across major residential, commercial, and industrial zones in the National Capital Region.

Strengthening India’s Urban Mobility Landscape

This recognition by the Indian Concrete Institute highlights the superior engineering design and construction quality of DMRC’s infrastructure projects. The organization has set benchmarks for metro construction standards in India and continues to play a leading role in shaping sustainable, modern, and accessible public transportation systems across multiple cities.
