The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the re-appointment of Dr. Manan Kaushal as Non-official Director on the board of the Indian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) for a period of one year, effective April 16, 2025, or until further orders.
Dr Kaushal, an academician from Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, holds M. Phil and Ph.D degrees in Economics, and brings over 14 years of teaching and administrative experience. He currently serves as Professor and Head of the Economics Department at J.S. Hindu P.G. College, Amroha, and is actively involved in academic research and institutional governance.
The India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) is a hospitality, retail and education company owned by the Government of India, under the administration of the Ministry of Tourism. Established in 1966, it owns over 17 properties under the Ashok Group of Hotels brand, across India.
In a separate development, Sanjay Tandon has been re-appointed as a Non-official Independent Director of NMDC Limited, for a one-year term or until further orders.
A Chartered Accountant, Tandon is an alumnus of Government College, Chandigarh, with a Bachelor’s in Commerce (Hons.). He brings financial expertise and corporate governance experience to the board of NMDC, a premier public sector enterprise engaged in the exploration of minerals including iron ore, magnesite, gypsum, coal, and diamonds.
