Ahead of the crucial Bihar assembly elections 2020, first step towards conducting a fair and unbiased poll has been taken by the Election Commission of India.
The ECI has removed an IAS officer from the position of Excise Commissioner on Wednesday 30. B Karthikey Dhanji, a 2008 batch IAS officer was removed from his current position due to inadequate action plan preparedness for the upcoming assembly elections, according to the official statement issued by Bihar’s Chief Electoral Officer HR Srinivasa.
As per the sources, “ECI team led by CEC Sunil Arora and ECs Sushil Chandra and Rajiv Kumar held a review meeting with the local administration officers to check the overall preparedness of the upcoming assembly elections.
Bihar assembly election 2020 will be conducted in three phases where the first phase will be conducted in the end of this month on 28 October, whereas the other two phases will be conducted on 3rd and 7th November respectively. The counting of votes will be held on 10 November.
