Engineers India Limited Inks MoU with Aramco Asia India to Assess Commercial Feasibility and Joint Expansion Plans

The MoU aims to assess commercial viability, identify business potential, and build a long-term cooperation framework between EIL and Aramco Asia India in the energy and engineering sectors.

New Delhi: ENGINEERS INDIA LIMITED (EIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ARAMCO ASIA INDIA PVT. LTD. (AAI) to explore commercial feasibility, business opportunities, and the potential for setting up a branch office in line with the range of services offered by EIL. The agreement marks a step toward deepening collaboration between the two organizations and establishing a long-term business cooperation framework.

MoU Signed in the Presence of Senior Leadership

The MoU was formally signed by Mr. Atul Gupta, Director (Commercial), EIL, and Mr. Jamal Al Enazy, Director of Aramco Asia Procurement & Supply Chain Management.
The ceremony took place in the august presence of:

  • Ms. Vartika Shukla, C&MD, EIL
  • Mr. Khalid Al Hajri, Vice President, Saudi Aramco Procurement Department
  • Mr. Abdulrahman Y. Althukair, Managing Director, Aramco Asia India

Their presence underscored the strategic importance of the partnership and the shared vision to enhance cooperation in engineering, procurement, and energy-sector services.

Strengthening Bilateral Energy Sector Collaboration

Through this MoU, both EIL and AAI aim to jointly evaluate business opportunities that align with their operational strengths and future growth plans.
The collaboration focuses on:

  • Assessing commercial viability for a potential AAI branch office
  • Identifying areas where EIL’s engineering and consultancy expertise can support AAI
  • Developing mechanisms for expanded long-term cooperation in energy and allied sectors

The agreement is expected to create a framework for broader collaboration between India’s premier engineering consultancy and one of the world’s leading integrated energy organizations.

AAI’s Role in India’s Energy Ecosystem

Aramco Asia India (AAI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco), serves as a crucial link between the company’s global capabilities and India’s dynamic energy market.
AAI coordinates a wide range of activities, including transactions and projects related to crude oil, petroleum products, mineral oils, and furnace oil, supporting Saudi Aramco’s operations and partnerships in the region.
