Patna: In a significant development for the Bihar administration, five officers of the 2022 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) have been promoted to the rank of Joint Secretary. The General Administration Department issued a notification regarding the promotions on Sunday.
The officers promoted include:
- Parth Gupta, SDO of Purnea
- Ashish Kumar, SDO of Barh
- Gaurav Kumar, SDO of Bagaha
- Kajle Vaibhav Nitin, SDO of Biharsharif
- Nishant Sihare, SDO of Motihari Sadar
Administrative Clout Strengthened in Bhojpur
Bhojpur district has entered what is being described as a golden era of administration. Currently, four IAS officers are posted in key positions across the district, which is expected to enhance decision-making, governance, and implementation of development schemes.
The latest appointment is Shipra Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, a 2023-batch IAS officer, as Sub-Divisional Officer of Ara Sadar, making her the fourth IAS officer serving in Bhojpur simultaneously. Her posting is aimed at strengthening sub-divisional administration and expediting governance processes.
Currently, the following IAS officers are serving in Bhojpur:
- Tanay Sultania, District Magistrate
- Gunjan Singh, Deputy Development Commissioner
- Syed Adil Mohsin, Trainee IAS
The combined presence of these four officers is expected to enhance coordination across administrative levels and improve the implementation, monitoring, and timely execution of schemes.
ADM-Rank Officers Posted in Key Departments
In addition to IAS postings, several ADM-rank officers have been appointed to crucial departments to ensure faster administrative response and public service:
- Shashi Shekhar, ADM Revenue
- Dr. Baldev Chaudhary, District Public Grievance Redressal Officer (DPGRO)
- Qamar Alam, ADM Disaster Management
- Vimal Kumar Singh, ADM Special
These appointments will improve disaster management, revenue settlement, and law and order operations, while also expediting the resolution of public grievances.
