Five 2022-batch IAS trainee officers were posted as Assistant Secretaries in various Central Ministries for eight weeks, after they successfully completed their district training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie.
Three were posted as Assistant Secretaries in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs:
- Mr. Alfred O V (Kerala cadre), who is a Computer Application Graduate, recently concluded his District training as an Assistant Collector in Palakkad, Kerala.
- Mr. Ashutosh Kumar (West Bengal cadre), who holds a degree in B. Tech., recently concluded his District training as an Assistant Magistrate & Assistant Collector in Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal.
- Mr. Vikas Mahato (Telangana cadre), who also holds a degree in B. Tech., recently concluded his District training as an Assistant Collector in Adilabad, Telangana.
Two were posted as Assistant Secretaries in the Ministry of Tourism:
- Dr. Diksha Joshi (Uttar Pradesh cadre), who holds a degree in M.B.B.S., recently concluded her District training as an Assistant Collector in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
- Mr. Yasharth Shekhar (Rajasthan cadre), who holds a degree in B.A., recently concluded his District training as an Assistant Collector in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan.
This period marks a critical step in their careers as it offers them a first-hand experience in governance and policy implementation at the highest levels of the Indian bureaucracy.
