Former Bengal chief secretary Bandyopadhyay replies to show-cause notice by Centre

He said that he left the meeting for the review of Digha's condition which has been ravaged by YAAS cyclone as per the orders of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Former chief secretary of West Bengal Alapan Bandyopdhayay gave reply to Central government’s show cause notice on Thursday. He said that he left the meeting for the review of Digha’s condition which has been ravaged by YAAS cyclone as per the orders of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Let be noted that Mr. Bandyopdhayay allegedly skip a meeting headed by PM Narendra Modi in Bengal for reviewing the situation after Yaas cyclone hit the area. After this, DoPT ordered his services for the central government and asked him to report on 31st May at 10 PM. He missed it after which the Centre issued a show -cause notice against him.
