After taking voluntary retirement earlier this year, Ex-IAS Santosh Babu has joined forces with Kamal Hasan and has joined as the General Secretary in the headquarters of MNM.

The doctor turned IAS officer Santosh Babu, has joined the Makkal Needhi Maiam party in the presence of party founder Kamal Hasan. This came after Babu took Voluntary Retirement from service earlier this year despite having eight years of service left in the public administration.
Babu has joined as the General Secretary at the headquarters and will be handling the IT, Data, research, quality, manifesto, and all headquarters operations according to Kamal Hasan. The MNM party was formally launched by Kamal Hasan on 21 February in 2018.
It is being said that the Ex-IAS officer has joined forces with Hasan, keeping in mind the assembly election which will take place in Tamil Nadu next year.
