Former Odisha DGP Prakash Mishra’s Book Launch Scheduled

The book 'Comedy in Khakee: The Humorous Memoirs of a Policeman' is a collection of humorous anecdotes from Officer Mishra’s extensive career

Mr. Prakash Mishra, a 1975-batch Odisha cadre retired IPS officer and former DGP of Odisha, is set to release his book, Comedy in Khakee: The Humorous Memoirs of a Policeman, on January 11th, 2025, at 3:30 PM. The event will take place at the Delhi Police Headquarters, Jai Singh Marg, New Delhi.

The book, a collection of humorous anecdotes from Officer Mishra’s extensive policing career, promises to entertain readers with its lighthearted take on real-life experiences.

Mr. Mishra, who also served as Special Secretary (Internal Security) in the Union Home Ministry and as DG Fire Services & Civil Defence, retired as DG CRPF.

The launch event will feature Mr. Prakash Singh (1959-batch retired IPS officer), former DGP of Uttar Pradesh, as the Chief Guest. Guests of Honour include retired IPS officer Mr. Vikram Singh (1974 batch), Lt Gen (Retd) C P Mohanty, and retired IPS officer Mr. Sanjay Arora (1988 batch).

This memoir offers a unique perspective into the lighter side of law enforcement, blending humor with insights into the life of a policeman.
