Varanasi/New Delhi: GAIL (India) Limited has achieved a significant milestone by crossing 100 Commercial PNG (Piped Natural Gas) connections in Varanasi. On August 27, 2025, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi, GAIL inaugurated its 101st Commercial PNG connection at M/s Clarks Hotel, one of Uttar Pradesh’s oldest hotels.
Expanding PNG Access in Cities
The supply was formally inaugurated by H.K. Garg, Executive Director (CGD), GAIL, in the presence of Sushil Kumar, General Manager (CGD) & Officer in Charge, Varanasi, along with other senior officials.
This achievement reflects GAIL’s continued efforts to extend the benefits of clean, reliable, and economical fuel to every part of urban India.
Journey Since 2018
GAIL’s journey of delivering PNG in Varanasi began in 2018 and has steadily grown to serve more than 100 commercial customers by 2025. The milestone highlights the company’s dedication to ensuring access to cleaner energy for hotels, businesses, and institutions.
To celebrate the achievement, GAIL released a short video showcasing customer experiences and feedback from across Varanasi, underscoring the positive impact of PNG on operational efficiency and sustainability.
