New Delhi: In a major step towards integrating emerging technologies into its workforce, GAIL (India) Limited today inaugurated its Artificial Intelligence Literacy and Capacity Building initiative, ‘AI Tarang’, at the GAIL Training Institute (GTI), Noida.
The initiative was officially launched by Mr. Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, in the presence of Mr. Deepak Gupta, Director (Projects), and Mr. Ayush Gupta, Director (HR), alongside senior officials and newly inducted employees.
CMD Emphasizes AI as Imperative, Not Optional
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sandeep Kumar Gupta stressed the vital role of Artificial Intelligence in enhancing organizational efficiency and informed decision-making. He urged the workforce to actively embrace technological change, remarking, “We can’t just wish it away, so better embrace the change.” He also emphasized the need for design thinking and innovation as essential components of a future-ready organization.

Speaking at the event, Director (HR) Mr. Ayush Gupta highlighted how initiatives like AI Tarang can help unlock the full potential of employees, encouraging all attendees—especially the younger cohort—to take full advantage of the opportunity.

Following the launch, an engaging webinar was conducted by Mr. Nandan Mishra from IKIGAI, focusing on the structure, objectives, and long-term benefits of AI Tarang for GAIL employees. The session aimed to lay the groundwork for accessible and practical AI literacy across departments.
