New Delhi: The Government of India, through notifications issued on Monday, announced a series of key appointments across ministries and departments. Among the notable postings are those of IAS officer Gaurav Singh Rajawat and IPS officer Manish Singh, both of whom have been assigned to important central roles.
Gaurav Singh Rajawat Appointed Director in Department of Social Justice & Empowerment
Gaurav Singh Rajawat (IAS: 2011: AGMUT) has been appointed as Director in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued the formal order on November 3, 2025, stating that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his posting under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years, or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.
Rajawat was recommended for Central Deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). He will be based in New Delhi, where he will contribute to the department’s key policy initiatives and social sector programs aimed at empowerment, inclusion, and welfare.
Manish Singh Appointed as Superintendent of Police, Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D)
In another major appointment, Manish Singh (IPS: 2013: GJ) has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D) under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
His posting fills an existing vacancy within the organization, which serves as the premier national think tank on policing and law enforcement modernization.
Born on June 25, 1987, Manish Singh hails from Uttar Pradesh and belongs to the Gujarat cadre of the Indian Police Service. He holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering and is currently serving as Commandant, State Reserve Police Force (SRPF), Group-16, Bhachau-Kutch.
Known for his discipline, professionalism, and leadership, Singh has held several key assignments within the Gujarat Police and has earned recognition for his effective field administration. His appointment at BPR&D is expected to bolster ongoing research and innovation in policing strategies and training frameworks across India.

Both officers bring strong administrative and technical credentials to their new roles.
