Gopinatha Kaiwara Venkateshappa (IRTS, 2008 batch) has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Tourism under the Central Staffing Scheme for a five-year term.

Gopinatha Kaiwara Venkateshappa, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer from the 2008 batch, has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. His selection for the position was recommended by the Ministry of Railways under the Central Staffing Scheme.

As per an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Venkateshappa will serve in this role for a term of five years from the date he assumes charge or until further instructions, whichever comes earlier. This marks an important transition in his career as he takes on a pivotal role in shaping tourism policies at the national level.
