A major highlight of the funding is the approval of Rs. 113 crore dedicated to the construction and preparatory works for the upcoming Kumbh Mela in Haridwar. This includes roads, sanitation, and other critical infrastructure aimed at handling the massive influx of pilgrims. Of this, Rs. 10 crore will be disbursed in the current financial year to expedite priority works.

Water Supply and Pumping Projects Across Districts
The Chief Minister sanctioned Rs. 4.73 crore for the installation of centrifugal pump sets and the retrofitting of existing pumps and motors under the Bodi Dhuraphat pumping scheme in Bageshwar district. This project aims to strengthen the drinking water supply infrastructure in the region.
Additionally, Mr. Dhami approved:

These schemes will ensure better access to potable water, especially in semi-urban and rural pockets.
Judicial Infrastructure Development in Haridwar
In another move to improve law and order infrastructure, Rs. 7.07 crore has been approved for the construction of the Prosecution Department Directorate and Sadar Malkhana at Roshanabad in Haridwar. Mr. Dhami has authorized the release of 40 percent of the sanctioned amount as the first installment, signaling a prompt start to construction activities.
Pension Sanctioned for Democracy Fighter’s Widow
Recognizing the contribution of democracy fighters, Mr. Dhami approved the Loktantra Senani Samman pension for Ms. Devki Devi, wife of the late Mr. Shyamdutt Tiwari from Kichha, Udham Singh Nagar. She will receive Rs. 16,000 per month for the period between June 2017 and October 2022, and Rs. 20,000 per month from November 2022 onwards.
This pension is a tribute to those who participated in the democratic struggle and reflects the state’s respect for their legacy.
