Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has recommended 3,756 appointments across various government departments during the tenure of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. These recruitments are part of a broader effort to strengthen the state’s administrative machinery and meet the long-term human resource needs of the government.
According to MPPSC Chairman Dr. Rajesh Lal Mehra, the recommendations were issued for 4,492 posts based on 75 recruitment advertisements published since December 2023. So far, the Commission has released 81 advertisements and is actively processing 61 recruitment drives to fill 5,317 posts in the coming months.
Following Calendar and Court Directions
The Commission has been functioning in accordance with its annual examination calendar, with a special focus on transparency and timely result declaration. All results released so far have complied with the Madhya Pradesh Government and High Court’s directive to publish results for 87% of the advertised posts.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav praised the Commission’s efforts, saying:
“MPPSC has consistently identified the best and brightest youth for government roles, playing a foundational role in building a capable and efficient state administration.”

State Service Examinations (2019, 2021, 2022): Final selection of 1,109 candidates
State Forest Service Examinations: Final selection of 200 candidates

- Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP): 51
- Assistant Director, School Education Department: 132
- MP Finance Service: 22
- Assistant Forest Conservators: 19
- Forest Range/Project Area Officers: 181

- Ayurvedic Medical Officers: 543
- AYUSH Lecturers: 71 (in 17 subjects)
- Assistant Professors: 727 (across 25 subjects)

The MPPSC, established under Article 315 of the Indian Constitution, is the cornerstone of public recruitment for non-All India Services in Madhya Pradesh. It ensures fair, impartial, and merit-based selection of officers for 48 departments and 55 districts across the state.
Over the years, MPPSC has contributed significantly to staffing roles that will remain vital for the next three to four decades, underlining its strategic importance in the state’s administrative framework.
