Mr. Adityanath firmly stated that no laxity in delivering public welfare schemes would be accepted. He instructed all departments to set clear accountability parameters and work with urgency to resolve revenue-related disputes and complaints raised through the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) and the CM Helpline.
Village Facilitation Centres and Urban Service Hubs to Improve Access
In a move to decentralize public services, the Chief Minister directed that every Gram Panchayat Secretariat establish facilitation centres for issuing income, caste, and residence certificates. For urban areas, zonal offices of the Municipal Corporation must be equipped with all civic amenities to minimize citizen inconvenience.
Kalyan Mandapam Construction for Poor Families’ Social Events
Mr. Adityanath stressed the need to fast-track the construction of Kalyan Mandapams — dedicated community halls for marriages and social gatherings, particularly for underprivileged families. He appealed to local public representatives to extend full cooperation in implementing this public-benefit initiative.
Major Push to Make Roads Pothole-Free and Improve Drainage Systems
The Chief Minister directed the Public Works Department to launch a focused campaign to make all roads pothole-free. Cleanliness, proper drainage, and overall civic hygiene were identified as top priorities, especially considering the high tourist footfall in Varanasi. He emphasized that visitors should see a clean, organized, and efficient city.
Strict Law Enforcement and Social Media Monitoring Ordered
In the law and order domain, Mr. Adityanath instructed officials to increase vigilance in border areas, take firm action against cow smugglers and habitual criminals, and enhance social media surveillance. He called for swift police responses to complaints and the installation of more CCTV cameras in sensitive locations.
GST Reviews, Festival Preparations, and Infrastructure Acceleration
The Chief Minister directed monthly review meetings of the GST department to improve tax collection and compliance. He also issued specific instructions for the grand and secure celebration of Ganga Mahotsav and Dev Deepawali, with a strong focus on the cleanliness of ghats, streets, and riverfront areas.
Rs. 18,000 Crore Projects Underway; Ring Road and Medical College in Focus
District Magistrate Mr. Satyendra Kumar informed the Chief Minister that 128 major development projects, with a cumulative investment of around Rs. 18,000 crore, are currently ongoing in Varanasi. Mr. Adityanath reviewed key projects including Ring Road Phase-2, expected to be completed by June 2026, and called for increased manpower to expedite the construction of the Pandeypur Medical College.
