New Delhi: Sathiya S, a 2011-batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax), has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Cooperation, as per an official order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).
The appointment has been made under the Central Staffing Scheme, and the officer has been relieved from her current responsibilities to take up the new role in New Delhi with immediate effect.
Recommended by Department of Revenue for Central Deputation
Sathiya S was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Revenue, and her appointment has been approved for a period of five years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders -whichever comes earlier.
Strengthening the Cooperative Movement
The Ministry of Cooperation, where Sathiya S will now serve, was established in July 2021 with the aim of providing a dedicated administrative, legal, and policy framework to revitalize and empower the cooperative sector in India. Her role as Director is expected to contribute to the strategic planning and governance functions that support cooperative development initiatives nationwide.
