Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

During the interaction, the President addressed the officer trainees of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IAAS), emphasizing the vital role they play in India’s journey to becoming a developed nation by 2047. She urged the officers to always uphold the provisions of the Indian Constitution, which serves as the foundation of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG). Highlighting Chapter-V of Part-V of the Constitution, she reminded them of their duties, powers, and responsibilities. Furthermore, she advised them to draw inspiration from the Preamble of the Constitution and the oath of the CAG in their professional conduct. The President encouraged them to provide innovative solutions to stakeholders while reiterating the importance of their role as both monitors and guides.

In her address to the officers of the Railway Services, the President acknowledged the critical role they play in shaping the nation’s mobility, given that a significant portion of India’s population relies on the railway system for daily commutes. She emphasized the importance of their responsibilities in accelerating India’s economic growth through improved railway services.
