Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd.), Chairman and Managing Director of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE), has been honoured with the prestigious ‘PSU Samarpan Award 2025’ by GovConnect during the 4th Edition of the PSU Transformation Conclave held in New Delhi.

The ‘PSU Samarpan Award’ recognises exemplary leadership and an unwavering commitment to excellence within India’s Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). Cmde Hari’s significant contributions in the Defence PSU space reflect his deep dedication to national growth, innovation, and self-reliance.
With over 36 years of distinguished service, including 28 years in the Indian Navy, Cmde Hari has held crucial roles in strategy, operations, and technical administration. His career highlights include the commissioning of INS Shivalik and a leading role in the Indigenous Aircraft Carrier project.
Since joining GRSE in 2016, Cmde Hari has driven the organisation towards modernisation and enhanced global competitiveness, in line with the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. Under his leadership, GRSE achieved the coveted ‘Schedule A’ status in 2024.
