New Delhi: Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Ltd., a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has been conferred the prestigious ‘GeM Advocate’ Award at the 10th Foundation Day celebrations of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM).
The award ceremony was held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on September 1, 2026. The award was presented by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal.
Cmde Rajat Nagar, IN (Retd), CGM (Commercial), received the award on behalf of GRSE.
GRSE Recognised for GeM Adoption
The ‘GeM Advocate’ Award recognises GRSE’s sustained adoption of the Government e-Marketplace platform for procurement and its efforts to strengthen transparency and efficiency in the procurement process.
GRSE’s use of GeM has helped the shipyard streamline its digital procurement practices and contribute to a more efficient sourcing ecosystem.
